Can you record an acoustic instrument in a dry studio, using En-Space to inform the performance, subtly enhance the recording, and glue the final result together?

We were exploring exactly those questions with double bassist Marianne Schofield during her recording of *Balbulus* by José Manuel Serrano, for double bass and three pre-recorded double basses.

En-Space gave Marianne the acoustic environment to open up and play freely, with early reflections the room itself couldn't provide. The result is now installed and sounding absolutely incredible in our studio.

The answer, it turns out, is yes. 🎻

One string. One channel. Infinite possibilities.

The outputs each string of an acoustic or electric guitar on its own discrete channel, unlocking a level of spatial processing we genuinely haven't heard before.

We got to explore exactly that with Icelandic guitarist Pétur Jónasson and composers from the in a private event at our studio, with musicians from bringing it all to life.

The guitar, reinvented. 🎸

The Gensler Research Institute's 2025 Immersive Entertainment & Culture Industry Report makes for compelling reading.

Immersive/interactive theatre is the runaway favourite format among audiences. 73% of immersive audiences are willing to travel to experiences that pique their interest. And 76% of respondents say there simply isn't enough immersive work in their area.

The demand is there. The question is who can deliver at the quality and scale audiences now expect.
