Throwback Thursday to one of my very first side hustles 👀

Long before AGV Composites became what it is today, I was making carbon fibre door seals for Astra and Corsa VXR’s in a small workshop setup 😅

A lot of late nights, learning as I went, making mistakes, improving parts and reinvesting everything back into the next project.

Looking back now it’s mad seeing how something that started as a small side hustle turned into a full composites manufacturing business.

Still the same mindset now though — always trying to improve, learn and build something better 💪🔥

The latest bespoke project out of the workshop in collaboration with 💪

This bell curve fl**ge started life as a 3D printed mould before being turned into a finished GRP component with a bonded uPVC fl**ge system.

Projects like this are exactly why I enjoy composites so much — being able to take an idea from concept, to pattern, to mould, to finished product all in-house 🔥

The combination of 3D printing and composites is opening up so many possibilities for rapid development, complex shapes and low-volume bespoke manufacturing.

Definitely a fun one to work on 👌

Back with another workshop update! 💪

This week we’ve got a proper mix of projects on the go…

We take a look at the T24 extension build that’s currently in progress, give you a behind-the-scenes look at a custom front splitter for a BMW, and introduce a new cabinet variant we’re developing for VM Safety Solutions.

As always, it’s all about turning ideas into real, usable products — from concept through to manufacture. Plenty happening in the workshop and a good look at how these projects are coming together.

Back with another weekly update 👇

This week we’ve completed the bespoke bell curve fl**ge mould and moved straight onto the next stage.

Jon is now working on his new project — manufacturing louvre panels and continuing to build his hand lay skills on production work.

It’s all about steady progression and doing things properly, making sure quality stays high as we grow.

As I mentioned in the Monday update, here’s a little throwback to how the unit was when I got it, to what we have today!! This is looking back and seeing where we are today and seeing how far we have come! Just imagine where we will be in another 3 years!!!

Always cool to see this side of the JEC show! We will get round to making carbon fibre parts!! I have the moulds made for the bonnet of course, just need the time now!!

As soon as we walked in I found a lovely looking Extinguisher cabinet!!! Wonder who made that 🙈🔥🔥🔥🔥 very proud moment for me this!! Never thought 2 years ago when I came here I would have an AGV product here!! Big thanks to Scott Bader for showcasing the cabinet using there materials ❤️🔥
