Are your gas safety certificates up to date? As a landlord, you're legally required to have a Gas Safety Record (CP12) completed every 12 months by a registered Gas Safe engineer and it's one of those things that's easy to let slip.

3 things people get wrong about calling a plumber (and why it costs them more in the long run) 👇

1. "I'll leave it a bit longer and see if it fixes itself."
Spoiler: it won't. A slow drip under the sink, a small patch of damp near a radiator, a boiler making a new noise, these things don't self-resolve. They quietly get worse.

2. "It'll be really expensive."
Not always. A lot of the jobs we get called out to are quicker and cheaper than people expect, it's the delay that causes the bigger bill.

3. "I'll just watch a YouTube video."
Some things are fine to DIY. Gas and structural plumbing are really, really not.

A few months ago, we shared one of our most innovative projects at Myton Coventry Hospice… and we are pleased to share a progress update.

Works are continuing well on site, with key stages of the installation now taking shape. Our team have been progressing the mechanical systems, bringing together the sustainable heating solution and supporting infrastructure designed to deliver long-term efficiency and reliability.

It is great to see this project developing, especially knowing the positive impact it will have in supporting such an important facility.

We will be sharing more updates as the project continues.

We are proud to be part of the transformation of the historic Westfield Community Centre in Hinckley into a brand new SEND school.

Originally built in the 1930s as a school, this building will soon return to its original purpose, providing education and support for up to 75 children with special educational needs and disabilities.

Working alongside Bloor Construction, Hinckley Plumbing & Heating Services Ltd are delivering the full mechanical installation across the site, including heating, water services, gas systems and sanitaryware.

This project is especially meaningful, helping to create much needed school places in the area while bringing new life to an important local building.

We look forward to seeing this fantastic development open its doors in September 2026.
