Bespoke Joinery Project – Clapham

We’re currently completing a bespoke wardrobe project for a client in Clapham.

All cabinetry has been custom-built in our Margate workshop and tailored specifically to the client’s requirements. This week marked the start of the installation phase, with the drawer units now fitted and in place.

The wardrobe cupboards are scheduled for their final spray finish on Monday, after which the hanging rails will be installed. We will then complete the full oak flooring and hallway decoration before fitting the wardrobe doors to finish the project.

We’re pleased to report that the client is extremely happy with the progress so far, particularly the attention to detail, quality of workmanship, and the regular project updates that have kept them involved throughout the process.

In addition to the wardrobes, we’re also creating a bespoke under-stairs storage solution, providing practical space for coats, shoes, and everyday essentials.

We’re looking forward to sharing the completed project soon.

Our client called, asking CT11 to help. With all the driving rain, it was quickly identified as a row of tiles missing on a newly installed Velux.

Joint effort from the client, they collected the tiles from Selco in Rochester. These were installed on Sunday.

Please don’t criticise the colour of the tiles, this is all we can get at short notice, with all the weather warnings in place 🌧️⛈️☔️ we needed to ensure to further leaks were happening

My daughter is raising money by running half a marathon 🏃‍♀️for

At least 2 million children in the UK face challenges in speaking and understanding words. Speech and Language UK is dedicated to empowering these children and young people with the essential skills they need, ensuring they are never left behind. We achieve this by developing valuable tools for schools and nurseries, offering expert advice and guidance to families, and advocating strongly with politicians to prioritize speech therapy support.

My daughter story

I am a 17-year-old sixth form student living with Specific Language Impairment (SLI). My journey began when my mother tirelessly advocated for me to receive speech therapy during primary school, despite initial doubts because I didn’t "look like" I had a speech difficulty. The school could only fund half of my therapy costs, so my mother covered the rest. Without that crucial support, I wouldn’t be able to communicate as effectively as I do today. This experience has shown me how vital it is for children to access speech therapy early on.

Many families cannot afford the high costs of speech therapy, which means countless children miss out on the help they desperately need. That’s why fundraising is so important—to ensure every child has a fair chance to speak freely and confidently.

On 27 September 2026, I will be participating in the Folkestone Rotary Half Marathon to raise funds for Speech and Language UK. Our goal is to raise £1,000 to support this life-changing cause. Your generous support today can make a real difference in helping children get timely assistance and look forward to brighter futures.

This is an awareness post.

Today I was walking with Frankie along Government Acre, a little later than usual.

As always, I said good morning to people I passed. I noticed one gentleman who looked slightly distressed. I said good morning, and he acknowledged me.

I started to head down the stairs to the beach, then looked back up at him. He was holding onto the railings.

I called out and asked if he was alright.

Clearly, he wasn’t.

I ran back up and gently guided him away from the railings. I stayed with him and we walked together for around 45 minutes.

During our conversation, he shared that life circumstances had led him to alcohol. He said he felt useless and had been thinking of jumping. My heart sank.

I wouldn’t leave him.

I wasn’t sure if he intended to jump or not.

However, I told him he mattered. I told him he was worth it. I listened without judgement, without criticism — just reassurance, kindness, and time.

There was more to this, but I will not go into detail. Needless to say, there are steps taken.

CT11 has undertaken exterior works for our client, including fascias, cladding, and a GRP roof with a glass balustrade.

During the strip-back of the roof and fascias, several issues were identified.

CT11 remained transparent throughout every stage of the process, which resulted in the roof being fully stripped back, a new cold roof design being installed, and damaged timbers being replaced.

Next week will see the GRP roof completed and Glass Balustrade fully installed.
