What a fantastic week it's been in Deauville. We've welcomed a steady stream of visitors to our booth, shared valuable insights on the latest developments in upright radiotherapy, and celebrated a major milestone with the treatment of our first patient. 🙌

It has been a pleasure to connect with so many colleagues from across the proton and particle therapy community, as well as give attendees the opportunity to experience the upright treatment position firsthand.

A few days have passed since we shared the news, and honestly, we're still waiting for it to truly sink in.

The world's first clinical upright proton therapy treatment has now taken place at Stanford Medicine using Leo Cancer Care's Marie® solution. This milestone is a testament to what can be achieved when innovation is focused on patient needs. While we're proud of the technology that helped make this treatment possible, our focus remains on the child who received it and on the many patients who may benefit from greater access to proton therapy in the future.

We're incredibly proud of everyone who helped make this moment possible, from our partners and collaborators to the clinicians who continue to push cancer care forward. Most of all, we're grateful to the patients and families who place their trust in innovation and help drive progress for future generations.

Today, the world's first clinical upright proton therapy treatment was delivered at Stanford Medicine Cancer Center using Leo Cancer Care's Marie® platform and the Mevion S250-FIT™ Proton Therapy System.

This milestone reflects a shared vision between Leo Cancer Care and Mevion Medical Systems to rethink how proton therapy can be delivered.
While this is an important technological first, its true significance lies in the patient at the centre of this treatment and the potential to expand access to advanced cancer care for more people in the future.
