A genuine question for fellow business owners and trades...
We'd just completed a dusty project and the client's home needed a thorough clean before they returned.
I had two choices:
✅ Get a cleaning company in.✅ Roll my sleeves up and do it myself.
In the end, I cleaned it myself because I wanted the customer to walk back into a spotless home and feel we'd looked after their property properly from start to finish.
The customer was delighted, but it got me thinking...
Was that good customer service or bad time management?
As business owners, should we be spending our time on tasks that can be delegated, or is there still value in personally going the extra mile for clients?
One thing I've learned through Craig Wilkinson and Trades Freedom Club is that time is one of our most valuable assets, so I'm interested to hear other perspectives.
What would you have done?
Clean it yourself or get a team in?
