We’re on the lookout for a part timeStores & Equipment Assistant to join the Access North family! This is a fantastic, hands-on role where you definitely won't be stuck behind a desk all day.

You’ll be the vital link that keeps our operations moving - packing vehicles with specialist gear for our rope access teams on Mondays, and checking everything back into our stores safely on Fridays. If you enjoy practical work, know your way around tools, and want to be part of a supportive, award-winning team, we want to hear from you!

✅ Part-Time: Mondays & Fridays (09:00 - 16:00)
✅ Salary: £12.71 - £14.62 per hour
✅ Location: Huddersfield (HD4)

Countless clients. One fabulous person.
When Jackie Mitchell joined Access North as our Client Relationship Manager in April 2016, she brought something that's hard to put into words and even harder to replace. A genuine warmth. A real care for the people she worked with. And an ability to make every client feel like they were the only one that mattered.

Over the years, Jackie has been the steady voice behind some of our most valued client relationships. She's handled the tricky conversations, celebrated the wins and got on with the work of building trust with our clients. That's not a small thing in our world. It's everything.

Jackie, it's been a privilege. We're proud to have had you in our corner - the standard you've set for how we look after people is one we'll carry forward.

ETFE roofs are lightweight, durable and a brilliant solution when they’re done properly.

But they don’t forgive assumptions.

Back in 2016 at Manchester Victoria Station, heavy rain led to an ETFE pillow coming away above the platform. Water and panel material fell below. Two passengers were injured.

It wasn’t just a leak.
It was water load.

Water weighs 1kg per litre. If drainage paths, pitch or air pressure aren’t working as intended, that weight builds quickly on a lightweight system.

The real issue?
Design intent doesn’t always match as-built reality.

That’s why proper inspection and maintenance matter.

When we work on ETFE roofs, we look at how water behaves in real conditions, not just on drawings.
