Last night, we were proud to host the Knowsley Chamber / Bathgate Business Finance Members’ Social.

Firstly, a sincere thank you to our Strategic Partners, , for being fantastic hosts and for their continued support of our business community.

We would also like to extend our thanks to Chamber Member, Boxpark Liverpool, in particular Lesley Theadorus, for the excellent hospitality throughout the evening.
It was a brilliant event, and it was fantastic to see so many members both new and longstanding coming together to connect, collaborate, and strengthen relationships across our network.

Working Well Wednesday 📢

Type 2 Diabetes Prevention Week

This week we are supporting Type 2 Diabetes Prevention Week, encouraging colleagues and networks to understand their risk and take action.

We are also promoting the importance of language in reducing stigma. The BLAME approach highlights how to avoid blame, labelling, assumptions, misconceptions and emphasis on ‘failure’, and instead support positive, person-centred conversations that encourage engagement and self-management.

WORKING WELL UPDATE📢
The Living Well Bus is back with us offering cervical screening on Wednesday 3rd June at 10.30am-4pm. It will be located at Kirkby Retail Park near the Pure Gym.

The mobile unit will operate as a drop-in service for those, aged 25-64 who are overdue their cervical screening or have missed any previous appointments, and will provide a safe, comfortable and private area for cervical screening appointments to take place.

The cervical screening test itself should take less than 5 minutes and the whole appointment should take around 10 minutes. You can bring someone with you to your appointment, such as a friend, family member or chaperone, to make you feel more comfortable.

WORKINGWELL EVENT UPDATE 📢
An inspiring and motivating morning at Knowsley Parkrun this weekend! It was fantastic to see so many people come together to support health, wellbeing, and community.

A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers from Knowsley Chamber and Knowsley Council for their support and energy throughout.

We would also like to extend our appreciation to the amazing parkrun volunteers and Parkrun Director Dave for organising such a welcoming and inclusive event.

And of course, thank you to all the local businesses who showed up, got involved, and gave it their all. Your enthusiasm and team moral was brilliant to see!

From running and walking to cheering on the side and connecting over a post run refreshment, the morning was a great reminder that wellbeing is better when we do it together!

WORKING WELL UPCOMING EVENT📢
ONLY THREE MORE DAYS until we join Knowsley Parkrun on Saturday, May 16th at 9am for a morning focused on health, community and connection.

Working Well will be at this FREE 5k Parkrun and are encouraging our local businesses to walk, run, or spectate with us!

Whether your staff are experienced runners or complete beginners, everyone can take part at their own pace. Parkrun is about movement, not competition!

You are welcome to bring your team, wear your company logo, and be part of something positive for the Knowsley community.

After crossing the finish line (or cheering on from the side lines), join the Working Well team for a post‑parkrun refreshment.

WORKING WELL EVENT UPDATE 📢
Today Working Well hosted a fantastic session with Chef Lisa at FareShare, where attendees explored just how simple and delicious healthy eating can be!

Participants got hands-on in the kitchen, preparing cheese scones in an airfryer and a fresh pea soup from scratch…perfect for quick, nutritious meals at work. Chef Lisa also shared practical tips and tricks to make healthy cooking easy and accessible, giving everyone knowledge they can take back and share with their teams.
