Roofing and Solar PV experience is preferable, but a capable person with the correct attitude would be welcomed and trained up accordingly.

Must be able to work as part of a team, must be a good fit with the company culture and existing teams. Having a valid driver's license is also preferable. Full time work available.

🏠 NEW EXTENSION, LOFT CONVERSION, RE-ROOF WITH SOLAR PV, INTERNAL ALTERATIONS, DECKING, PLUS LOADS MORE 🏠

This was one of the trickiest jobs we've completed due to its access and size. The boys have probably climbed the equivalent of Everest several times over walking up and down with materials. Getting the very long RSJ ridge beam in place was a particular highlight. The same can be said for the huge steel-reinforced raft foundation we had to install.
Many times we've had to think outside the box, come up with cunning ideas to get materials up to it, and the amount of earth removed was impressive. It was a logistical nightmare and the main extension was so big it has been nicknamed the great Viking hall. Despite its access, we absolutely loved working on it, we loved how it has come out, and once again, we couldn't have asked for nicer customers.

Over 5m bifold door and a 4m bifold window
Loft conversion with a new master bedroom

Once again, proud of the team we have, proud of the work we can produce together, and grateful for the projects we keep delivering. The repeat nature of the work we win is a testament to the service we provide.

I have a backlog of projects to post, but this has been one of our favourites this year. We like a challenge.

We've been using the past week or so to clear up a few smaller jobs. We still have lots of projects going on, but we've been able to split the teams down to tackle a long list of smaller jobs we have to get done before winter kicks in. Here are a couple of different garage roof replacement jobs we've just finished.

Here's our latest SWC project (apart from some external painting and a couple snag jobs) 🤩

Once again, the boys have produced some stunning work, and we are left with another happy customer 👌

This project consisted of a new home office room, a utility room, a big wet room, and a large double garage. The rear elevation was a subterranean and externally tanked wall, and the roof is cantilevered over the side access. We also built and rendered all of the garden walls, topped them with slate, built the driveway pillars, constructed the new garden fence, supplied a new tarmac drive, built a custom bin store, made custom doors for the utility, fitted a large velux roof window, plus many more features.

A few pre-completion photos from this beautiful new build project we have built from start to finish.

This little two bedroom detached property cut into the hillside looks like it has been nestled into the Woolacombe landscape forever. Unlike a lot of new builds these days, this one has copied the architecture and style of its big brother next door, which is the main family home.

A few complexities with it being cut into the hillside, meaning the rear aspect of the build needed retaining walls and waterproofing as it is underground, but nothing good comes easy.

We're also delighted that the build has achieved an A rating on its EPC due to its highly insulated walls and roof, its in-roof Solar PV, its ASHP, and UFH.

We managed to fit this smaller project in and around our pre-booked projects this summer.

It was a full refub project where we took a fairly derelict summer house and highly insulated it, boarded and skimmed, installed new electrics, new plumbing, a WC, an air-conditioning unit, new patio doors with built in blinds, a new millboard decked area, a new glass balustrade, decorated, laid the LTV flooring, new tiling, installed all the carpentry work, and hung the new furniture.

The customers are thrilled with the outcome and now have use of a home office detached from the house.
What a view it also has 👌

I'm a little late uploading this one. This project is a special one for the SWC boys. It started with "we'll be able to get you out of the ground" whilst sat in a beer garden, to us collectively finishing the project and making lifelong friends with the customers.

The customers architect provided us with the design and structural calculations, and we took it from there.

Absolutely love how this project has turned out. Our customers have such a great eye for detail and style, and their architect was brilliant throughout the entire process. Collectively, we regularly talked through the process, jointly got over problems, planned and built to the plans provided, accommodated iterations along the way, and largely came in on time and on budget.

So many unique aspects to this job, from a 6m sliding door, the extension being built on stilts, reclaiming old doors, building and installing a floating bed, increased U values for the building fabric, UFH and ASHP, outside dunny and shower, etc, etc.

The perfect blend of vernacular materials and shades of dark and light.

We have to thank .h_tiling_and_bathrooms and of course, our SWC boys for getting this project finished. All are trusted third-party contractors / companies that we use for all of our projects. We work efficiently and professionally throughout to deliver projects to the highest quality, no matter the size.

We're now finishing off some landscaping and a garage conversion for the same customers.
