Drain blocking project I was part of just north of Brora.

Drain blocking is one of the main techniques used in peatland restoration. Blocking old drainage channels raises the water table, helping to restore natural bog conditions, reduce erosion, lock away carbon and create healthier habitats for wildlife.

Before and after from some peatland restoration work I carried out last year.
