We're Hiring

We are looking for a full-time Construction Estimator and Trainee Construction Estimator to join our expanding multi-trade construction business. These positions offer the opportunity to play a key role in the continued growth and success of SB Services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing tender packages and preparing accurate cost estimates.
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
- Assisting with pricing variations and supporting project teams with cost information.

What We're Looking For:
- Previous estimating experience in construction (Estimator role).
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Good IT skills (Excel, estimating software, etc.).
- A proactive and professional approach.
- For the Trainee role, a willingness to learn and develop within the construction industry.

The new division will merge with the well-established electrical services business previously known as Calder Electrical, adopting the new SB Services identity and working alongside the company’s joinery, plumbing and decorating departments to offer clients a fully integrated multi-trade solution across the commercial, industrial, energy and residential sectors.

The creation of this new division is a strategic step that complements our existing electrical and plumbing and heating capabilities, enhancing our position as an integrated MEP services provider.

As we approach the end of 2025, we would like to thank our clients, supply chain, and team for their continued support throughout the year.

2025 has been a year of steady growth for Scotbuild. Under the leadership of Managing Director Daniel Cormack, our focus has remained on maintaining high standards, supporting sustainable growth, and delivering quality projects for our clients.

Our teams have delivered works across multiple sectors throughout the year. By integrating our joinery, decoration, plumbing and electrical services – we continue to offer a consistent, full-service approach from start to finish.

We have also remained committed to supporting the communities we work with through various donations, sponsorship of Ross County and Invergordon Football Club, support for local professional golfer Sean Kennedy, and engagement with students at UHI college open days to promote careers in construction.
