Hey,
Sorry I wrote this out yesterday and then got really busy and forgot to send it out.
So as part of me getting back on my feet and walking again, I was advised to get a dog as it will get me out of the house and get moving again and build up strength in my legs.
So we got a Labrador puppy called Marley,
Things were going well, I was walking a small distance as was Marley s he was still young and we were going further and further each week.
Then we took Marley to the vets for his injection etc and the vet said he has concerns about his hips and would like us to see a vet specialist.
We took Marley to have an X ray on his hips and the Vet said his has hip dysplasia in both hips and will need surgery to correct them otherwise it will affect his life further down the line.
He also said he has concerns over his elbows so had another set of X rays to find out he had elbow dysplasia as well. Great!!!
He will needs 3 operations 1 on his elbows and 1 on either hip!
£10,000 (yes we were insured) but the main thing for me was after each operation he was unable to walk no more than 5 mins at a time 3 times a day. That's notmgoing to get me out and about!!
So a dog I got to help me get and walk was unable to get and walk!!!
But on a positive note Marley has had all his operations, Is doing amazing and now getting to enjoy his life.
Me, I'm still a bit bitter I got a dog to get me out walking and it cost 3 operations and I was unable to get and walk him. Sums my luck up really!
Hope this made you chuckle a little.
Have a great day
