Dressing Room Renovation.

More Detail - What started as a plain box room, we transformed this space into a functional dressing room. The brief was to create a bright functional room and add some character with the use of decorative mouldings - to give a nod to the time in which the house was built (early victorian). Chipboard flooring was removed and replaced with tongue and groove floorboards made from reclaimed timber. The radiator was relocated from its original space within the room, and replaced with a period correct column radiator with copper valves to match the copper pipework. Rather than using free standing wardrobes, we built wardrobes into the fabric of the room and wrapped the skirting and coving around these, to create a seamless finish. Decorative black nickel sockets and switches installed in subtle locations within the room, and recessed dimmable down-lights installed to maximise overhead space. Finished in matt white, this not only maximises the natural light within the room, but sets off the natural timber flooring, decorative switches and brass ironmongery.

A project we recently completed transforming two rooms into one open plan kitchen, dining room.

More detail - Not quite as simple as installing a replacement kitchen on this one; We worked with a structural engineer and steel joist manufacturer, and as a result we removed the existing internal wall, along with rear door and window, and installed steel joists which allowed us to install the bi-fold doors on the dining room side. The new kitchen position isn’t where the existing kitchen was located, so new drainage was installed to accommodate the new layout, 100mm insulation boards installed with wet underfloor heating linked into the heating system before a new concrete sub-floor was poured. Other structural alterations were made, where we relocated the small staircase to a different position within the room that leads up into the living room.
