Zero non-conformities. Four ISO standards. One team effort.

Following the completion of our 2026 BSI external audit programme, Booth Welsh has achieved zero non-conformities across all four of our ISO standards. It's a fantastic result that reflects the hard work, professionalism and commitment shown by colleagues across the business every single day.

While compliance audits might happen once or twice a year, the behaviours, standards and attention to detail that make results like this possible happen every day. This achievement is a reflection of our people and the pride they take in delivering quality work for our clients, partners and one another.

As Alan says, achieving zero non-conformities provides independent recognition of the strength of our management systems and reinforces the confidence our clients and partners can place in Booth Welsh.

And that’s a wrap on the Scotland Manufacturing & Supply Chain Conference & Exhibition 2026! 👋

It’s been a brilliant couple of days at the SEC, with plenty of conversations around the future of Scottish manufacturing, digital transformation, AI, skills and what it really takes to turn new ideas into practical progress.

A particular highlight for us was seeing two of our Directors take to the stage yesterday:

👥 Aimee Doole, People, Brand & Culture Director, explored The Human Side of the Upgrade, looking at why smarter technology demands more from our people and culture.

🤖 Hugh Welsh, Engineering Director, shared our practical AI journey at Booth Welsh, from experimentation to finding meaningful ways to integrate AI into how we work.

And of course, a huge thank you to everyone who visited the Booth Welsh stand, came along to the sessions, and took the time to chat with our team.

On Friday, colleagues, clients and friends joined us at Dundonald Links for the 35th edition of our annual golf day.

This week, we were proud to host a free PSA testing event at Booth Welsh HQ in partnership with the Scottish Prostate Cancer Initiative.

Just shy of 300 people attended to take an important step towards early detection, a fantastic turnout that shows the real value of making health checks accessible within our workplaces and communities.

Conor Evans, Director at the Scottish Prostate Cancer Initiative, said:
“We’re very grateful to Booth Welsh for hosting the event and helping us bring free PSA testing directly into workplaces and communities. Thank you to everyone who attended — by taking part, participants are looking after their own health while contributing to work that could help transform prostate cancer detection and care for future generations.”

A huge thank you to the Scottish Prostate Cancer Initiative and its medical team, everyone who helped organise the event, and every person who booked an appointment or encouraged someone else to attend.

Meet Sali, our Project Management Graduate, and James, our Systems Graduate, as they take us behind the scenes of our new interactive demonstration rig.

Designed and delivered by our graduates, the rig brings Booth Welsh’s capabilities together in one connected process, combining engineering, automation, digital technology and operational insight.

It’s been a fantastic multidisciplinary project, giving our graduates the opportunity to collaborate across the business, solve real technical challenges and take an idea all the way through to a fully functioning finished product.
