On Friday, colleagues, clients and friends joined us at Dundonald Links for the 35th edition of our annual golf day.

It was a brilliant day on a fantastic course, with plenty of friendly competition along the way. Thank you to all our partners and clients who joined us and helped make this milestone year such a memorable one. Another big thank you to the team at Dundonald and all our generous sponsors.

This week, we were proud to host a free PSA testing event at Booth Welsh HQ in partnership with the Scottish Prostate Cancer Initiative.

Just shy of 300 people attended to take an important step towards early detection, a fantastic turnout that shows the real value of making health checks accessible within our workplaces and communities.

Conor Evans, Director at the Scottish Prostate Cancer Initiative, said:
“We’re very grateful to Booth Welsh for hosting the event and helping us bring free PSA testing directly into workplaces and communities. Thank you to everyone who attended — by taking part, participants are looking after their own health while contributing to work that could help transform prostate cancer detection and care for future generations.”

A huge thank you to the Scottish Prostate Cancer Initiative and its medical team, everyone who helped organise the event, and every person who booked an appointment or encouraged someone else to attend.

Designed and delivered by our graduates, the rig brings Booth Welsh’s capabilities together in one connected process, combining engineering, automation, digital technology and operational insight.

It’s been a fantastic multidisciplinary project, giving our graduates the opportunity to collaborate across the business, solve real technical challenges and take an idea all the way through to a fully functioning finished product.

This huge achievement reflects the care, awareness and personal responsibility shown by our people every day, whether they’re working at our own facilities or delivering projects on client sites.

To everyone who has contributed over the past 20 years – thank you – this is your achievement, and one you should be incredibly proud of. Every employee, every safe decision, every intervention, every Good Catch and every safety conversation has played a part in protecting our people.

For our clients, our safety record is more than just a statistic. It’s reassurance that they’re working with a trusted engineering partner that understands high-risk and highly regulated environments, plans carefully and won’t compromise when it comes to protecting people.

Reaching 20 years is a moment to celebrate, but it’s also a reminder that safety requires constant focus. We’ll continue to learn, challenge complacency and look out for one another as we work towards the next milestone.

A proud moment for our graduates today! 👏

After months of collaboration, problem-solving and plenty of testing, our graduate team officially presented and handed over their completed interactive demonstration rig.

Designed and built to bring Booth Welsh’s capabilities to life, the rig demonstrates how areas including engineering, automation, digital technology and operational insight can work together as one connected process.

It was designed as a truly multidisciplinary project, giving the graduates the opportunity to apply their skills, work across different areas of the business and take the project from an initial idea through to a fully functioning finished product.

A brilliant achievement by everyone involved, and an engaging new way for us to demonstrate what Booth Welsh can deliver, keep your eyes peeled for the rig at upcoming exhibitions!

Another week, another adventure!

We had the pleasure of attending the Industry 5.0 Summer Sessions at Flanders Make in Kortrijk, Belgium.

The event brought together industrial leaders, SMEs and innovation professionals from across Europe to explore the future of Industry 5.0 through hands-on collaboration, co-organised by the Horizon Europe sister projects PROSPECTS 5.0, SEISMEC, BRIDGES 5.0 and SkillAIbility.

We were proud to present and facilitate a challenge workshop exploring - 'How can organisations embrace AI, continue to grow, and retain the culture that makes them successful?'

The discussions reinforced the importance of keeping people at the centre of digital transformation and ensuring AI enhances, not replaces, the human element of business.

A big thank you to the organisers and everyone who shared their insights. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn, collaborate and help shape the future of people-centred innovation.
