Well at least on paper I suppose I made it to 20 years in business…

The self employed adventure kicked off on the 8th of September 2003 with my very first repair job in Girvan & after that it took off. Lots of ups & downs (mainly ups) met lots of nice people (some not so nice 😂) heard countless interesting stories (some not so interesting 😂) I’ve made mistakes but also got a lot of things right & got myself a massive education in how life works along the way. For that I have to send my sincerest gratitude to every single customer of over the last 20 years because you all played your part in the journey, even the odd not so nice one 😂

As far as my health concerns are going, 2022 & most of 2023 were challenging to say the least but there has been significant improvement in the past few months. From last years low of 5 months in hospital to getting some reasonable mobility back by spring/summer of this year & recently being able to start driving again, things are looking up. I must stress that I’m still some way off getting the business back up & running again & realistically it will be into 2024 before it’ll be a serious consideration. Here’s hoping I’m fit enough for it to be an option 🙏🏻

Hi Folks
I haven’t posted anything for a while & service has been far from normal for the past 12 to 18 months, so I thought it was time to bring some clarity to the situation.
As a few of you are aware I’ve been struggling physically lately because in last year I have been diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder, that’s been making life difficult to say the least 🙄
Unfortunately now my lack mobility has got to the stage that I’m forced to concede that I cannot continue normal business operations (I haven’t done a single job this year) This I must stress is hopefully a temporary situation & my aim is to get back to some kind of normality but it’s not going to be an overnight process, it’s going to take time.

For the moment two of my good friends are doing they’re best to cover my work load & I am still available on the phone to assist you where I can.

Attended a “cheap & cheerful” Sabre 28 today, that I fitted back in 2005 & have serviced regularly since.
It’s still in superb condition & today marked its first new part in all that time........... a new safety valve (hardly breaking the bank)
Pretty good going for a 16 year old appliance 😃

Well 2020 turned out to be pretty much thoroughly dreadful! 😂
This doesn’t stop me wishing everyone the best Christmas they can possibly have however & let’s all look forward to hopefully having a much better 2021 🙏🏻 (at least from the spring onwards 😬)

Due to personal circumstances & covid etc I’ve decided for the first time in 18 years to close for the entire festive period. I will be keeping one eye on my phone for any messages from regular customers that I can assist over the phone where possible but ultimately it’s time for a break. I’d also like thank all my customers for their continued support & custom.

I actually broke a bit of sweat on this one 😥😂

A long standing customer decided to relocate & update their 15 year old (still working) Compact 28 from its basement location to a first floor livingroom cupboard. Customer opted for a Vokera Vision 30c with 7 year warranty giving peace of mind, more accessibility & it’s now future proof for advancing years.
