In just over a month, our directors Paul and Shaun will be taking on the Glasgow Kiltwalk to raise vital funds for the international humanitarian charity Concern Worldwide.

The brothers have set a modest target of £1,000 — but thanks to support from our company, every donation will be match-funded, doubling the impact of every pound raised.

Concern Worldwide works in some of the world’s most vulnerable communities, supporting people living in extreme poverty and helping them build sustainable futures.

For the fourth year running, we are proud to support Equal Supported Employment in North Ayrshire in spreading some Christmas cheer through their annual Selection Box initiative, to provide a small gift to those most in need.

We donated a wee table full back at the start of November, as requested by the team, so they had time to wrap them all.

This year’s effort has truly been exceptional. Thanks to the incredible generosity of the local business community, an amazing 5,800 selection boxes have been collected and will be distributed to children across North Ayrshire.

A big well done to all the Ayrshire businesses that contributed, but huge congratulations to Steven and all the team at Equal - what an effort! Your wrapping fingers must be bleeding!

This morning we had a visit from Steven McBlain from North Ayrshire Council's Equal team, who popped in to pick up the goodies we're donating to the Selection Box Appeal 2024.

It was great to hear of the huge number of selection boxes the team has gathered in this year (and now have to wrap up!), and quite moving to get a little insight into just how many children will get a gift as a result.

A huge well-done to Steven and the team for running this appeal again this year, and helping make Christmas a little more enjoyable for so many.

Great to host a delegation at our site at the former King's Arms yesterday.

Today we were visited by Jim from North Ayrshire Council who came along on behalf of Beith Trust, to collect a donation of some block paviors.

We answered a call for help placed in the NAC Community Benefits Newsletter, and have donated enough blocks for the organisation to complete a paved area of four square meters.

Thanks to Jim for picking them up and delivering them!

Latest McLaughlin Construction project completion!

Yesterday we handed over the keys to North Ayrshire Council for the completion of our project to create a new cemetery space in Kilwinning.

Due to the lack of capacity at the existing cemetery our works have provided the creation of space for burials which includes a new build pavilion building, double garage, drainage, parking and roads within our project delivery. The completion of these works provides a beautifully landscaped and peaceful resting place for loved ones and for those visiting to pay their respects in the future.

Well done to all of the site team involved and our site manager John Edgar on the handover of another successful project for our long time client.
