Recently we were asked by a customer to reverse engineer an extremely worn impeller.
Firstly we 3D scanned the part and then modelled it up in CAD. The vanes were 3D printed as a prototype then replicated in resin. Finally, all the tooling was cut on our CNC machines.
The pattern was then cast by the skilled moulders at Derek Harper Foundries.
