Today is Cycle to Work Day, and we're celebrating the team members who do it every day. 🚴

Come rain or shine, Chris Thompson, Mackenzie Bezley and Bryan Hislop commute by bike, helping to reduce travel-related CO₂ emissions.

Together, they save over 200kg of CO₂ every month, the equivalent of the monthly carbon-absorbing benefit of 107 mature trees. 🌳

We’re pleased to share our recent work at Catherine Infant School’s new £14 million building. 🏫

The school was among the first 50 selected for the UK government's school rebuilding programme. The £14 million project transformed the school into one of the UK’s first carbon-neutral schools. 💚

Powerlite Fitzgerald was chosen as the preferred lighting manufacturer for the new 14 million pound school. We manufactured a range of energy-efficient luminaires, from smart panels through to curved, contemporary linear fittings—all from our Yorkshire headquarters.

The school is home to over 400 students with different needs, so each classroom was tailored to support those requirements. Our municipal and celestial luminaires achieved the required lux levels, in line with the lighting design, creating the perfect environment for the needs of the students.

Alongside the school's interior, we supplied exterior streetlights to create a safe environment outside during the winter months.

As May comes to an end, we’re looking back at a busy month here at Powerlite Fitzgerald. 😎

This month we shared three case studies across very different environments, from a Premier League football retail store to educational environments.

We were especially excited to finally share our work at Brentford Football Club, showcasing our ability to adapt fittings to meet exact project specifications.

We also highlighted our project at Halesowen College. Working closely with Uni Smart, we manufactured and supplied a UK-engineered solution that achieved 85% energy savings alongside a 20% reduction in operational costs.

Overall, a great month with plenty more to come.

April has been a big month for us at Powerlite Fitzgerald 🤩

We launched our new website. 💻

It’s not just a refresh. It’s a clearer reflection of who we are today as a UK manufacturer. Built around solving problems others can’t, and doing it with proper pride in the way we build things here.

We also introduced our fully integrated trunking lighting system, the Highline Rail, a solution designed to make installation simpler and projects more flexible, from a UK manufacturer you trust!

Finally, we’re celebrating a staff milestone that means a lot to us. Chris Thompson is marking over two decades with the business. 🤩

Happy Easter! 🐰

The Easter Bunny dropped by our factory in the night with a crate of Easter eggs, but there was one catch! To claim an egg, everyone had to land their throw in the basket 🧺

A tough one to crack, but after a few questionable attempts (looking at you, Haydn) everyone finally got an egg🐣

We hope everyone has a fastastic Easter weekend! Our offices will be closed from Friday 3rd April until Tuesday 7th April.
