Are you a 16 year-old currently completing your GCSE’s and looking to develop a career within the plumbing industry?

Due to continued growth at R F Blount & Sons Ltd, we are searching for a plumbing apprentice to join our team!

Full training will be provided to include 1 day release per week at college. Working alongside experienced plumbing and heating engineers’ day to day, providing labouring duties and learning the trade.

✅ Job Completed – New Gas Pipe Installation

We’ve recently completed the supply and installation of a new gas pipe run from the existing gas meter to the existing high-level heaters.

The new stainless steel press-fit pipework was installed up and over the flat roof (as shown), then connected into the existing heater pipework.

All connections were completed at the meter, the new pipework was fully tested and purged, and the existing high-level heaters were tested and successfully recommissioned.

Another tidy and safe installation completed. 🔧🔥

As the weather warms up, it’s a good time to check your outdoor plumbing after the winter months.
✔ Turn on outdoor taps and check for leaks
✔ Look for cracked pipes caused by freezing temperatures
✔ Make sure garden drains and gullies are clear of leaves and debris
✔ Check hose connections and washers

Small issues now can turn into bigger (and more expensive) problems later in the year.

If you notice leaks, low pressure, or drainage problems, it may be worth getting them checked before summer.
