Digging through the Prosaw archives, we came across one of our most unusual machine installations...

A FUHO Vertical Bandsaw supplied by Prosaw, not cutting steel, aluminium, or engineering plastics...

but large blocks of ice! 🧊🧊🧊

While most of the machinery we supply is destined for metal-cutting applications, this installation is a great reminder of just how versatile modern bandsaw technology can be.

Faced with the challenge of processing huge blocks of crystal-clear ice, this customer turned to Prosaw for industrial sawing technology to achieve accurate, consistent cuts safely and efficiently.

It's certainly not an application we see every day, which is exactly why it remains one of the most memorable projects in our archives.πŸ“

Meet the Gentiger GTA8H β€” 850mm of serious cutting capability.

The first Gentiger GTA8H in the UK has arrived at Prosaw HQ, made to order for UK supplier and stockholder of high-performance copper, nickel and aluminium bronze alloys.

GENTIGER machines are engineered for demanding production cutting β€” including solid material and difficult alloys such as Inconel β€” combining speed and robust construction with low vibration and remarkably quiet operation.

And the GTA8H takes that capability to another level.

The range includes three cutting widths:

GT-A4H β€” up to Ø430mm
GT-A6H β€” up to Ø615mm
GT-A8H β€” up to an impressive Ø850mm
