It was a pleasure to welcome Firth Doors and Hardware to Winkhaus UK for a customer visit focused on product innovation, technical support, and future opportunities.

The team spent the day with us discussing exciting new Winkhaus innovations, exploring the marketing materials available to support their customer conversations, and taking part in a technical demonstration.

They also had a first look at how our latest products and innovations can support their business, from product performance and compliance confidence through to practical benefits for fabricators, installers, and homeowners.

It was a pleasure to welcome Doorway Composite Doors to Winkhaus UK recently for a visit to our Kettering UKAS-accredited test laboratory.

A key highlight of the visit was the successful testing of a Doorway composite door to PAS 24:2022 + A1:2024, using a Winkhaus Thunderbolt lever/lever locking solution.

The door successfully passed the latest PAS 24 standard and was then tested to destruction, where it continued to exceed current testing requirements.

Additional testing was also completed to BS 6375 Parts 1, 2 and 3, covering cycle testing, weathertightness, abusive forces, and security/closure against obstruction.

This project reflects the value of genuine collaboration across the supply chain, bringing together Doorway Composite Doors, DoorCo, Kömmerling, SFS, Stormguard and Winkhaus, with technical support from Steffen King and Daniel Grodecki.

The final doorset included a DoorCo ORiGINAL 44mm composite door slab with GRP skins, Kömmerling’s C70 profile, Proline AM3-70 Mobility Easy Access threshold door sill, SFS Dynamic 2D-C hinges, and the Winkhaus Thunderbolt lever/lever locking solution.

Today we are pleased to celebrate a very special milestone for Anita Brinkworth, who marks 30 years with Winkhaus.

Anita began her career with the business as an Accounts Assistant and, through her hard work, commitment, and professionalism, eventually progressed to become our Finance Director in 2016, after multiple internal promotions

Reaching 30 years’ service is a significant achievement and reflects not only Anita’s dedication, but also the important contribution she has made to Winkhaus over three decades.

In a fast-moving world, long service is something worth recognising. We are proud to have so many colleagues who have chosen to build their careers with us, bringing experience, knowledge, and continuity to the business.

We are proud to sponsor 24 members of the Metal Technology Ltd team as they prepare to take on this year’s Belfast Marathon on 3 May.

The team are running in memory of their dear friend and colleague Timmy Cummins, forming five relay teams to support Brainwaves NI, the charity that supported Timmy and his family during his illness.

Brainwaves NI is Northern Ireland’s only volunteer-led brain tumour research and support charity. The statistics are stark: more children and adults under 40 die from brain tumours than any other cancer, yet less than 1% of national research funding is spent on this disease.

The team hope to raise as much as possible for this important cause in Timmy’s memory.
