Touring tune on the Mugello 225 reed,is now complete, on to the dyno for set up and ring brake in, i offer this touring tune on Rt 225 and also the Mugello mainly and get consistent results, you have try a small tweak to see reaction,
On with this i am very happy with low end torque result so get it up and moving , also the peak power is not high up rev range, so not overly working everything at high RPM to get power, it will rev on still holding hp and Tq to 7-7.5k
Final Ratio is set at 4.7 justnow with indian GP 200 gearbox but the customer required 2up riding with gear, so this should cover what he requires.

Mugello 225 to fit to a customers engine, previously fitted to it was a nice cast iron 205 Honda
updating to Mugello with a 62/110 crank, all new bearings and races, some repair work to rear wheel bearing housing, running a indian 4 speed GP gearbox, and cassette clutch with easy, and pipe choice is CST3, and reed valving the cylinder also and a nice tune on it new v**e ignition and a 30mm PHBH Dellorto will make another 238 touring engine, with carb on std side, fit a decent remote filter and plenty of space

Further development on a cast iron 200cc Lambretta, a customer purchased a jet 200 with an indian std 200cc engine fitted, it ran a 24mm a phbl Dellorto through a BGM V4 pipe, running a std crank 58/107 it was making noises so decided to investigate and see what it was, so rebore and hone and a slight tune and tidy up of the ports
i tuned the cylinder and head to suit, and it produced 16.98 Hp 14.52lbft after the works, i did say it might be to much for the std parts ie crank clutch etc, it’s a relatively low state of tune just a small boost, and it lasted about 500 miles then blew the crank seals and started eating the gearbox oil, it was planned to do all the upgrades, but now defo required,
new crank, seals, clutch and reed valve it get a bit more torque out of it,
so will post comparison of non reed piston port and reed with only inlet tuned and boost cut, windows in piston using the new UNI reed block from AF rayspeed using same pipe and carb and same stroke and port timings

working on a ser 3 with a front end smash, need to strip down to fit on frame jig to get it all back alined forks we’re bent well over, so got them straight but just not happy so get a 2nd had set and check them for alignment , slight tweak and all good so weld on damper mounts and paint, fit new internals to fork links and build up with new steering cones and bearings
Scooter had a full set of lights wired into glovebox that had to be cut out and i couldn’t be disconnected, so after cutting it all out had to reinstall with junction box and earth bus so cope with all connections so it’s all fused and can be removed without and issue
make a battery tray to fit in the glovebox and fix it so the battery can be serviceable, and all cable management was tidy, it had a big button control panel fitted so just worked with that
after fitting back together 1 light didn’t work so strip it find out it was just cheap internals that just fell apart so had to make up a fitting to finish off the job, finnished pics to follow

Well this has been a journey, full rustoration, and engine rebuild, strip down check fix any issues, jig frame and forks...
