Wild Deck Company

Wild Deck Company We are specialists at creating timber structures in natural settings, covering everything from bird hides and boardwalks to pond dipping platforms and jetties.

All of our creations are designed by us, then constructed by hand at our workshop in Norfolk. All of our creations are designed by us, then constructed by hand at our workshop in Norfolk by our team of skilled craftsmen. We then transport the timber to site where we complete the installation.

30 Years of Experience With A Dedication To Quality

For over 30 years, our partner company, Flights of F

antasy, has been creating play equipment, play areas and, perhaps most famously, bespoke playhouses for commercial and domestic clients from around the world. During this time we have also had the good fortune to work with various estates, reserves, the RSPB and the National Trust on rural construction projects here in the UK, leading to our development of The Wild Deck Company, a company that we have focused solely on the creation of high quality, durable timber structures, such as bird hides, boardwalks, and pond dipping platforms in rural environments. We pride ourselves on making bespoke structures that naturally fit our clients’ needs in the required setting. No ask is too big and we endeavour to give every single client the attention required to produce something that they are delighted with as we believe that our relationships last for life, not just a single project. Our ongoing work with Abberton Reservoir is testament to this belief. As part of our commitment to the natural environments that we typically work in, we take our environmental responsibility very seriously and incorporate conscientious environmental practices during all of our projects. Our Values

- Custom Made Projects: Nothing that we make is generic. Every creation is bespoke, designed and constructed specific to the needs of you and your project, ensuring you get something that fits all of your requirements for years to come.
- Quality Construction: We only use high quality, sustainable materials and construction techniques to create structures that are built to last. Testament to this is the fact that all of our structures stand for many years with minimal maintenance.
- Environmental Responsibility: A love for the environment is a big part of why we started in this industry. We only use timber from sustainable sources, re-claim on-site materials whenever possible, and minimise travel when working remotely.
- An Experienced, In-House Team: We have an experienced, professional, in-house team and undertake all design and construction ourselves. From planning to installation, we do not rely on sub-contractors which us allows us to work flexibly and resourcefully, as well as having full control over the quality of our work, ensuring that it is to the highest standard.
- Our Valued Clients: We have been lucky enough to have worked with some of the UK’s most prestigious organisations such as the RSPB, the National Trust, and many family estates, as well as with private clients, schools, and private businesses. We have a very loyal customer base due to this ongoing commitment to our clients and we look forward to nurturing this as we continue to grow. What We Envision In The Future

Our aim is to continue making the highest quality, timber structures available on the market. With our bespoke designs, attention to detail, and desire to provide more than just functionality, we want to redefine what timber structures can be. Why settle for something that is ‘OK’ when you can have something that exceeds all expectations?

UK grown, hand striped sweet chestnut is one of our favourite hardwood timbers to use in our creations. As we endeavour to reduce waste whenever possible, we collect all of the bark strippings, chip them with a special machine, then bag them up for distribution so that they can be used as play area fall surfaces around the country. Any material that is too small to be used as a fall surface will be given to farmers as mulch, further minimising wastage. If you are interested in any of these by-products, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
