Knighton is starting to feel like a home! We’re bringing these stone walls back to life with a traditional 3-coat insulated Hotlime system, keeping all the traditional charm. The lime render on the outside and inside makes it fully breathable and heat retaining ⚒. Massive shoutout to the boys for lending a hand on the trowel ❤️

Quiet on here but Knighton's been buzzing! ⚒ Stairs are in, porch construction's started, and ceilings and studwork are fully insulated and boarded with sustainable materials. Wood wool insulation is a game-changer for soundproofing, and cosy wool's doing its magic on the studwork. Wood fibre boards are ready for lime plastering. This old stone building's getting a new lease on life, designed to breathe and thrive in any climate!

How October looked vs December ⚒ Knighton has come on leaps and bounds in the last 2 months. Swipe for some serious timber meterage. Upstairs underfloor heating install is complete and now covered over and pipes marked out 6 sharpies later. Studwork partition walls and ceiling joists complete ✅ and now 1st fix plumbing and electrics have begun⚡️ The hidden treasure discovery of the well has been built upto height ready for its glass topping to be installed 🎣 2026 is going to be a fresh look for Knighton ⚒

Big milestone reached at Knighton and it’s been a tricky but rewarding one. Old rotten floor boards and joists removed throughout and replaced with new 8x3 timbers and steels. Keen to not see another 8x3 again for a while especially at 6m long 🥵

We’ve got underfloor heating and a water well on the same level how many homes can say that ? 🎣
Keep swiping for the progression of getting the solid floors to lime screed. While digging the levels down we unearthed this 300+ year old water well that is now going to become a Fantastic feature of this ever suprising farmhouse. Solid stone floors dug down and recycled glass foam installed and compacted,topped with underfloor heating and lime screed with timbers screeded in for fixing of the floor boards in the finishing stages. All breathable products.

4 coats of lime render and 5 coats of lime wash later the scaffold is down…The farmhouse is really starting to look and breath fresh now. Especially with its new hand crafted wooden windows supplied and fitted by 😍

Before the house was covered in sand and cement render, trapping in any moisture that got into the stone and mud wall,causing no end of problems. We’ve taken it right back to the beginning and gone again with insulated lime render allowing the building to breathe and control its moisture levels.
