STILL STANDING THE TEST OF TIME

As a company, AFOS has been designing and supplying both bespoke and standard quality kilns, large and small scale, to businesses all over the world.

One such company, based in the UK is , who have been providing quality smoked produce to wholesale and trade as well to the general public for many years.

One of the keys to their success was the acquisition of the AFOS mini kiln which was one of the first kilns developed and commissioned by AFOS and we have just completed an upgrade to it after many years – here’s to many more happy smoking years!

To celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, we wanted to highlight the wonderful work our two apprentices, Harry and Jack, are doing.

Photographed below with some of the latest machines that the two have been working on.

Our T1000 Defroster was electrically built by Harry on the left and mechanically built by Jack on the right.
Our Maxi kiln was both electrically and mechanically built by Jack.

All work overseen and assisted by our senior engineers and Electrical Manager Tom, teaching them how we achieve Perfect Results Every Time!

All of us at AFOS Food are proud of how far the pair have come since joining us with HETA.

Our amazing Director Lisa is running the Dublin Marathon on the 26th October 2025.

Lisa is running on behalf of the Dove House Hospice in Hull, in memory of all of the loved ones over the years who have received love and care from this wonderful hospice, either for respite or palliative care.

If you can, please go to Lisa’s just giving page and donate whatever you are able to this wonderful cause. It would be greatly appreciated.

Lisa is also taking part in the Scottish Half Marathon Musselburgh on the 17th August and The Great North Run on the 07th September to warm up for Dublin!
