Following a detailed inspection, we adjusted the bottom limit and correctly set up the door wheels to ensure smooth and accurate operation. The door now closes perfectly, sitting flush against the floor to provide the correct seal and reliable performance. ✅

🚛🔧 Another loading bay safely restored to full operation! 🔧🚛

Our engineers attended site after a loading bay experienced an operational fault.

Following a thorough inspection, we found that the dock leveller lip had been operated in the low deck position, causing it to strike the buffer pad and position it beneath the door. When the door was subsequently lowered, it landed on the buffer pad, resulting in both door cables spooling off the drums.

Our team carefully unjammed the cables, correctly refitted them onto the drums, and carried out multiple operational tests on all bay equipment to ensure everything was functioning safely and reliably. ✅

🏗️ Loading Bay Upgrade Completed – Old Dock Levellers Removed & New Units Installed ✅

Our engineers carried out a full loading bay upgrade, safely removing the existing dock levellers before installing and commissioning two brand-new dock levellers.

Work completed:

✅ Safely isolated and removed the old dock levellers
✅ Prepared the loading bay for the new equipment

✅ Carried out full commissioning and operational testing
✅ Checked all hydraulic, mechanical and safety functions

🛠️ Emergency Roller Shutter Repair Completed ✅

Another successful call-out completed by Humber Entrance Systems!

Our engineer attended site following reports that a roller shutter door had failed to open. After carrying out a full fault-finding inspection, the issue was quickly identified, repaired and the system safely returned to service.

Work completed:

✅ Investigated the reported shutter fault
✅ Identified the fail-safe circuit had been activated
✅ Removed the control panel cover and found the limit switch terminal block connector had become disconnected, damaging the connector pins on the control board
✅ Carefully straightened the damaged pins and securely refitted the terminal block
✅ Reconnected the limit switch wiring and rewired the photocell circuit, which had also become disconnected
✅ Carried out full operational testing to confirm the shutter was functioning correctly

While on site, our engineer also attended to the pedestrian access door serving the car park.

✅ Adjusted the pedestrian door to improve closing operation
✅ Identified evidence of repeated impact damage, which is likely causing the recurring alignment issues, and reported the findings for further consideration

The roller shutter and pedestrian access door were both left operating safely, with the shutter fully restored to normal working order.

Our engineer attended site after reports that an industrial door would not open. Following a thorough investigation, the issue was quickly diagnosed and safely resolved.

Work completed:

✅ Investigated the reported fault and identified that the left-hand side of the door was seized, preventing the door from lifting correctly
✅ Diagnosed an input stop error, caused by the motor being unable to move the door
✅ Attempted manual operation using the hand chain, confirming the door remained seized
✅ Carefully worked the door free before identifying a large build-up of ice restricting the door’s movement
✅ Removed the ice obstruction and carried out full operational testing
✅ Door restored to normal, smooth operation and left in safe working order

Following a full inspection, the fault was traced to the emergency release having been activated. The emergency release block was reset, restoring the system to normal operation.
