How can you tell if a roofer is qualified?

The answer is simple: ask to see their qualifications. A time-served roofer will be more than happy to show you the qualifications they worked hard to achieve.

A qualified roofer will also hold a Gold CSCS Card. This card demonstrates that they are a fully qualified tradesperson in their craft. To obtain it, their qualifications must be checked and verified by CSCS assessors, after successfully passing the required CSCS test.

Choosing a roofer with recognised qualifications and a Gold CSCS Card gives you confidence that the work will be carried out by a skilled and qualified professional.

Supporting our local community is at the heart of what we do here at S Douglas Roofing. We’re proud to back small local businesses and love seeing them grow, succeed, and make our area even stronger. Wherever we can, we’ll continue to support the hardworking people and businesses that keep our community thriving.

We have seen too many florists and other shops closing down recently and it’s so sad. If you like having local family run businesses on your high street then please shop from them.

We as a community need to work on keeping money in our community and that means supporting them!

The cost of living is so high for everyone so we understand not everyone can afford to buy luxuries that they once did, but supporting doesn’t just mean buying - sharing and engaging with posts, leaving reviews and word of mouth recommendations all help too! ❤️

Last week, we were proud to carry out work on the cabin at Ravenscraig Walled Gardens for Greener Kirkcaldy, helping to keep it watertight in our ever-changing climate.
Greener Kirkcaldy is a community-led charity that works locally to bring people together, take positive action on the climate emergency, and support those affected by fuel poverty and food insecurity.
