We are thrilled to announce that this year’s Wrea Green Car Carnival raised an incredible £14,678.32 in support of Trinity Hospice - an amazing £6,000 more than last year!

Held on the green on a beautiful sunny Sunday in May, the event brought together hundreds of vehicles, from iconic TVRs and classic cars to vintage work vehicles from Wareing Buildings.

Thanks to the generosity and support of our wonderful community, this fantastic total will make a real difference to the patients and families cared for by trinityhospice.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, donated, exhibited vehicles, or helped make the day such a huge success. We can’t wait to welcome you back again next year!

Wareing Buildings Invests in Solar Power Across Site Buildings 🌱

At Wareing Buildings, we are always looking for practical ways to reduce our environmental impact while improving the efficiency of our operations.

We are delighted to share that solar panels have now been installed across several of our site buildings, allowing us to generate clean, renewable energy directly on site.

The original installation in the field generated 350 kWh, supported by 180 kW of battery storage.

The latest installation generates 300 kWh from 567 solar panels and includes 300 kWh of battery storage, along with rooflight guards and handrails to support safe maintenance access.

This investment is part of our ongoing commitment to:
• Reducing our carbon footprint
• Lowering energy consumption from non-renewable sources
• Making our sites more sustainable and self-sufficient
• Supporting the construction industry’s move toward greener practices

By harnessing solar energy, our site buildings can now power lighting, equipment, and welfare facilities using renewable power generated right where it is needed.

This is a small but meaningful step in a wider journey towards more sustainable construction practices, and we are proud to be turning intention into action.

Sustainability in construction isn’t just about the materials we build with - it is about how we operate every day on site.

We look forward to continuing to find ways to make Wareing Buildings a more environmentally responsible business.
