At Northern Turbine Services we have a vast knowledge and industry experience of a variety of micro-generation

Dear Customers,
As is our tradition as we close for the Festive Period, we’d like to take a quick moment to say thank you for your continued custom.

2025 has gone by in a flash. Once again, we’ve been far and wide, taking on new projects and more turbines to maintain, whilst keeping our regular customers generating efficiently as you’ve come to expect.

As we all look to the future a common question we are getting is ‘what’s next?’ i.e. when the FIT Tarriff ends what is happening, how will these turbines be viable etc. It is our belief that there needs to be either an extension or a suitable replacement.

We’re in the process of putting together a report to send to our local MP from information provided by Ofgem to show them just how valuable Microgeneration turbines are both in terms of energy produced and economic value. We’d encourage you to start asking questions of your MPs locally as well as most FITs contract are due to expire between 2030 and 2035 depending on when installed.

Orkney County Show 2025! 🚜

We will be back at the Orkney County show this Saturday the 9th of August!

We will have Kingspan, Xzeres & C&F turbine heads on display this year, along with some of the electrical systems.

We will also be showcasing our sister company Rousay Engineering!

Rousay Engineering provide precision machining and bespoke parts for Oil & Gas, Subsea and Renewable industries.
As our sister company they also produce essential components that are required for the maintenance and upkeep of the many different turbines under our care. In the case where manufacturers no longer exist, we’ve had to reverse engineer parts to allow us to repair and keep turbines running.
We will have some of these parts on display at our stand, so come along and check it out!

🌬Turriff Show – Thank You! 💨

A huge thank you to all the brave souls who came to see us at this year’s Turriff Show!

Well done to the Turriff show organisers it’s a shame the show was cut short today but definitely the correct decision and we hope you all made it home safely. It was fantastic to see and chat with so many of you in person.

Your support, as always, means so much to us.

We’re already looking forward to seeing you all again next year — hopefully with a little more sunshine! ☀

Turriff Show 2025!

We will be at the 2025 Turriff show on the 3rd & 4th of August and will be open for all your queries and turbine needs!

We will have many different turbines on display, including Kingspan, Xzeres and C&F turbine heads as well as some of the electrical components that control the turbines.

This year we will be show casing our sister company Rousay Engineering! They have been reverse engineering essential components that are required for the maintenance and upkeep of the many different turbines under our care. As many of these components are scarce and in some cases no longer produced, they have been reverse engineering the parts to suit the different types of turbines we maintain. We will have some of these parts on display at our stand this year, so come along and check it out!

10 Years Incorporated - Happy anniversary to us! 🥳

On the 3rd of July 2015 Adrian & Gerard Kerins & Erland Tait incorporated Northern Turbine Services Limited to provide a better level of service, support and maintenance schedule for turbine owners in Aberdeen, Orkney, Shetland & Caithness.

Over the years we have been able to expand our services to customers ranging from the very south of Scotland, Inverness, Western Isles, England, Wales, Ireland and the Republic of Ireland!

All of this couldn't be done without our very hard working staff of Northern Turbine Services Limited! To show our appreciation we had our own small celebration on the 4th of July this year. Inviting all of our current staff and some of our, equally as hard working, previous staff and local suppliers!

We would like to thank all of our customers, near and far for supporting us over the last 10 years and for the continued support over the many years to come!
