🔧 We’re hosting the Knowsley Chamber Manufacturing Forum at Ley Rubber this June 🤝

This event is exclusively for manufacturing businesses, bringing local companies together for a morning focused on innovation and collaboration.

The session will be chaired by Rod Wah and will feature updates from both Ley Rubber and Beverston Engineering.

We’ll be sharing an overview of our capabilities, processes and specialist materials, along with how rubber components support modern engineering applications.

Beverston Engineering will also be discussing their work in precision engineering and their ongoing digital transformation and AI project with Liverpool John Moores University.

New kit on the shop floor 👀

We’ve recently installed a new beam press, giving us more capacity and flexibility across a range of rubber components.

It’s already making a difference to how we handle larger runs and more demanding jobs, helping us keep lead times tight and quality consistent.

Always good to keep investing in the things that make a real difference day to day 👍

Meet the Team: Hannah Hart 👋

We’re delighted to welcome Hannah as our new Procurement Manager.

Hannah will play a key role in strengthening supplier relationships, supporting the wider team, and driving efficiency across our procurement activities as the business continues to grow. Since joining, she’s already made a fantastic impression with her proactive approach, strong commercial mindset and collaborative attitude.

What are you most excited about in your new role?
“I’m really looking forward to the challenge of getting to know a new industry, getting stuck in and hopefully making a meaningful impact. I’m especially excited about strengthening supplier relationships, supporting the wider business team where I can, driving operational efficiency through strong procurement practices and of course, delivering savings.”

What’s a piece of advice that’s stuck with you throughout your career?
“I’ve been fortunate to gain a wide range of skills, guidance and coaching throughout my career. Working with people from different backgrounds and industries has shaped how I think and work, and that’s something I really value.”

What’s your favourite way to unwind outside of work?
“Spending time with my dog, getting out for long walks or hikes when I can, and doing anything creative — especially baking.”

Meet the Team: David Daramola – Finance Supervisor 👋

We’re delighted to welcome David Daramola to the Finance department here at Ley Rubber. As our Finance Supervisor, David supports our day-to-day financial operations, helping keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. Since joining, David has already made a great impression with his positive attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to get stuck in.

What are you most excited about in your new role?
“I’m really looking forward to learning more about the business and working closely with the team. They’ve already made me feel really comfortable. I’m excited to keep developing my skills and contribute to the day-to-day finance processes.”

What’s a piece of advice that’s stuck with you throughout your career?
“Stay curious and don’t be afraid to ask questions. There’s always something new to learn and understanding the why behind things makes a big difference. Bonus advice: make sure your company has a pool table before applying 😄”

What’s your favourite way to unwind outside of work?
“Spending time with family and friends, playing FIFA (best in the world), watching football and going for walks. Anything that helps me reset and recharge.”

We’re shining the spotlight on Liam Pedder, one of our Beam Press Machine Operatives. In just a year, Liam has settled in brilliantly and become a dependable part of the production team.

From day one, he’s brought a great attitude to the role and plays an important part in keeping things running smoothly on the shop floor.

Liam’s a bit of a celebrity spotter, and recently met Stephen Graham!
