Two Lukes, one winning team!

Turns out our Lukes know a thing or two beyond Production, transport and sustainability!

Last night, Luke and Luke flew the SoluPak flag at the We Are Wakefield Quiz Night, held at Wakefield trinity in collaboration with Wakefield Hospice.

Putting their impressive knowledge of football and the NBA to good use, they teamed up with the fabulous KELLY and Jimmy from Juice Personnel to take home the title of Quiz Night Champions! 🥇

A fantastic evening of friendly competition, bringing local businesses together and supporting a brilliant cause.

A big well done to the winning team, you've done SoluPak proud! 💚

A big congratulations to Jake, our latest Employee of the Quarter here at SoluPak.

Some people just quietly get on with the job, day in, day out, and make a real difference to how smoothly things run. Jake is definitely one of those people

His reliability, ability to adapt and learn, and attention to detail help keep our machines running, our standards high and our targets on track.
He's someone who takes real pride in his work, takes ownership and can always be counted on to get the job done.

It's these qualities that make such a difference in a busy manufacturing environment, and Jake has certainly earned the respect and recognition of his colleagues. Well done, Jake, well-deserved award.

What a weekend for Wakefield Trinity and what a moment for our district! ❤️🤍💙

Huge congratulations on the Grand Final, a fantastic achievement for the team and a celebration for the whole community. We love being a Wakefield district business, and moments like this really show why. That sense of community, local pride and people coming together to cheer each other on is something special.

Our very own Trinity superfan, Nick, is absolutely over the moon. We’ve even given the SoluPak logo a little makeover in honour of the occasion!

An update from our MD:

Forget autumn, apparently we’ve entered awards season!

It's been a great week when it comes to 'making the cut' for our fantastic SoluPak- Sustainable Manufacturing team.

On top of 4 finalist spots at the Wakefield Business Awards we are very pleased this week to have made the shortlist for the Made in Britain impact awards in their social impact category, as well as the Manufacturing award at the Yorkshire Post Business Awards.

On top of this I’m honoured, and very surprised, to have been named 1 of 5 Planet Mark Changemakers. Looking forward to speaking alongside my fellow winners at the London summit in November.

Safe to say, we’re pretty chuffed with that little lot.

We do love a bit of good news on a Friday… especially when it involves some bling!

Proud to announce our very own Joe went to Lanzarote with his long-term partner Meg and came back with a fiancée. He planned a proposal to be proud of, and we’re delighted she said yes!

We’re all so pleased for you both and wish you every happiness together.

Work to live, that’s what we want for our team. And these are the moments that matter most ❤️💍

Gary, thank you for everything you've contributed over the years. We hope you've had a fantastic day celebrating with family and friends; you deserve to put your feet up.

Please join us in wishing Gary a very happy 60th birthday and congratulating him on what has truly been a milestone year. 🥳

We’re delighted to share that we have been named finalists at the 2026 Wakefield Business Awards.

It’s always a proud moment to see the hard work of our team recognised, particularly here in our home district of Wakefield.

Having seen the list of other finalists, we know the competition is going to be tough, there are some brilliant businesses and people doing great things across the district, so we’re very pleased to be amongst them.

We’re now looking forward to the awards evening at WX Wakefield on 12th November, celebrating everything that makes the Wakefield business community so strong.

Whatever the result, it should be a fantastic night… although obviously we’ll be keeping everything crossed! Good luck to all the other finalists, see you in November! 🥂

🎉 Happy 21st Birthday, Nathan! 🎉

We’ve had plenty of big birthdays across the SoluPak team over the last few weeks, with a few more still to come!

Today, though, it’s Nathan’s turn as he celebrates his 21st birthday. 🥳
Nathan has become a valued part of the SoluPak team, and we hope he has a brilliant day celebrating this milestone.

Happy 21st, Nathan, from everyone at SoluPak! 🎂🎈

🎉 Happy Birthday, Rachel! 🎉

Today we're celebrating a milestone as Rachel turns 30! 🥳

Although she's not in work today, we made sure to get the celebrations started early with the team last week. There was plenty of cake, lots of laughs, and the chance to mark the occasion before she headed off to enjoy her special day.

We hope you're having an amazing birthday, Rachel, celebrating in style with your family and making the most of every moment. Here's to an exciting new decade ahead! 🎂✨🥂
