We’re on the lookout for an experienced Depot Manager to lead operations at our Machine Control depot in Derby. If you know your way around machine control and enjoy running a tight, high-performing team, this could be right up your street.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll take full ownership of depot performance, working closely with technical support, hire & sales, service, logistics, and equipment prep. In short,you’ll be at the heart of keeping everything running smoothly and customers happy.
What you’ll be getting stuck into:
• Leading and supporting a team of engineers, coordinators, and technical staff
• Making sure equipment is prepped, tested, calibrated, and ready to go
• Keeping customer support sharp, responsive, and professional
• Coordinating installs, support visits, and engineer schedules
• Driving revenue through smart use of equipment and service upsells
• Overseeing hire contracts, service activity, and billing accuracy
• Keeping communication flowing across departments
• Managing VOR situations and minimising downtime for customers
• Tracking performance and keeping standards high across the board
What we’re looking for:
Someone with solid experience in depot, branch, or operations management; ideally within machine control, survey tech, or a similar technical environment.
