Preparing Pupils For a Successful Future
16th June 2025
For the attention of Mr Rob Turland, Managing Director, FIIRSM
Dear Mr Turland
SPONSORSHIP OF OUR YEAR 6 VISIT TO WARNING ZONE
On behalf of all the Year 6 pupils, we would like to say a heartfelt thank you for generously sponsoring our visit to the Warning Zone in Leicester.
From start to finish, the day was absolutely fantastic. Every part of the experience was engaging, educational, and incredibly memorable. We learnt so much about how to stay safe in different environments, and the interactive nature of the visit really brought those lessons to life.
The pupils especially loved the building site section where they learned about the dangers of electrocution, as well as the home safety zone that taught them about the risks of cooking and other dangers in the home. The railway line safety section was also a real eye-opener and our students now understand that railway lines must be avoided at all costs. Many of us were shocked to discover how quickly a single photo can spread online, which made us think much more carefully about our digital choices and the e- safety area really consolidated what we had learnt at school.
We were all genuinely surprised by how realistic each scene was, which made the learning feel even more powerful. Many pupils have said that this day will stay with them forever, and they now feel much more confident about making safe decisions in the future.
We would also like to thank the amazing volunteers who guided and supported us throughout the day. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and helped make the experience even more enjoyable.
Thank you again for making this visit possible. Your support gave us a truly invaluable learning opportunity, and we would highly recommend the trip to any Year 6 class in the city.
With sincere thanks,
Rachel Rahman– and the year 6 Pupils and Staff
