Doing Our Bit Locally

We were delighted to support Lerwick Port Authority's annual tree planting initiative at Gremista alongside pupils from Sound Primary School and staff from Shetland Amenity Trust.

Together, 282 native trees were planted to help enhance local biodiversity and create lasting environmental benefits for the community. It's a great example of how small, practical actions and strong local partnerships can make a real difference.

A big thank you to everyone involved - especially the pupils, whose enthusiasm made the day so enjoyable!

We recently finished a pair of L&M 0.6T box dragging winches bound for Parkol Marine Engineering where they will be installed on two new build trawlers – Farnella and Victory Rose.

Designed to reduce manual handling in the fish hold, our winches include VFD control panels for low impact start-ups, and are fitted with both radio control and hard-wired pendant options as standard.

The use of electric motors as opposed to traditional hydraulically driven winches in this application removes the risk of contamination in the hold from unexpected oil leaks.
