⚽ What a night at the annual Altro 5-a-side tournament 2026!

Back for its 17th year, this year's tournament delivered everything we've come to expect – great football, friendly competition and plenty of laughs along the way.

With 10 teams taking part, including our own IT and Manufacturing teams, there was no shortage of action. From impressive goals and dramatic saves to a semi-final decided by penalties, the competition was fierce right to the end.

A huge well done to Absolute Interiors, who took home the trophy this year, with last year's champions DMS Flooring Supplies finishing as runners-up. 🏆

After the football, everyone came together for pizza, presentations and a chance to catch up off the pitch.

A big thank you to everyone who travelled to Letchworth to take part, support from the sidelines and help make the event another great success.

Now, all eyes turn to tonight's World Cup action. Come on England! 🏴⚽

Day 1 at European Healthcare Design in London was a busy one!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by to chat with Rhian, Mark, Sam and Carol about healthcare design, flooring, wall protection and the role materials play in creating spaces that work better for patients, staff and visitors.

We're really pleased to be teaming up with FloorSkills to make Altro training available to more installers across the UK.

The first course available through the partnership is the Advanced Altro Safety Flooring Training course. Designed for experienced installers, it's a hands-on, practical programme focused on developing best-practice safety flooring installation techniques.

By bringing official Altro training to the FloorSkills training centre in Solihull, we're making it easier for installers to build their skills, share knowledge, and gain confidence, with more Altro courses planned for the future.

We're looking for a Fabrication Team Leader to join our Value Added Services team at Altro HQ in Letchworth Garden City, Herts, UK.

Leading a team of six technicians, you'll oversee the production of bespoke flooring solutions for our transport customers, including pre-cut flooring kits, logos and CAD-based designs.

If you have team leadership experience within a manufacturing or fabrication environment, strong attention to detail, and can confidently interpret technical specifications and production documentation, we'd love to hear from you.

Staff training incoming!

This week, team members from across the business swapped their day jobs for thermoformers and welding tools as part of our flooring and wall installation training at Altro HQ in Letchworth, UK.

The two-day course gave everyone the chance to get hands-on with our products and gain a deeper understanding of the skills, techniques and expertise involved in installation.

There was plenty of learning along the way, as well as a little friendly competition to see who could achieve the neatest finish! 😄

Brookvale Ltd are one of the leading UK flooring distributors with locations across England, Scotland and Wales.

The team have enjoyed a factory tour, learnt more about our products, and shared valuable feedback on how we can continue to improve.

Visits like these help customers gain a deeper understanding of our manufacturing processes, product capabilities, and the support available to help them deliver successful projects.

Thanks to John Page and Fatma Mbarouk from IHG Hotels & Resorts for joining us today for a Voice of the Customer visit at Altro HQ in Letchworth, UK. 👏

The day included lab and factory tours, product discussions, and a closer look at how we test and develop our flooring and walls.

The slip resistance testing and pedatron demonstrations were a particular highlight - it's always fascinating to see the technology and expertise behind the products.
