Before your first chat with us: four things that help.

You don't need everything worked out to call us. But having these ready makes that first conversation far more useful.

Save this for later, or send it to someone who's planning a build.

What does a main contractor want from a timber frame partner?

Philip, Director at ECC NI, put it simply: "Anything they say they're going to do, they do. And they come through every time."

For a main contractor, it comes down to turning up and delivering "on time, on budget". We supply and put up timber frame for contractors and developers across Northern Ireland.

This one's personal.

Some builds mean a little more than others, and this is one of them. We're building a new home for Lynn's dad.

The timber frame is up and wrapped in breather membrane, and the windows, sliding doors and front door are in. The roof is going on now, so the house is getting weathertight and ready for the next stage inside.

It's a proud feeling to put the same care and quality into our own family's home that we give every customer. We can't wait to hand him the keys.

The bones of a home.

Timber frame wall panels going up in Northern Ireland, and the frame taking shape. This is the stage where a house starts to look like a home.

Access for everyone.

We're on site at Ballykelly Church Hall, installing a new disabled access ramp and steps so everyone can get in and out with ease.

The groundwork is underway and the blocks are on site, ready for the ramp to go in. Next comes a new pair of aluminium front doors, coping along the top of the wall and handrails up the ramp for extra support.

Projects like this matter to us. Making a community space easier for everyone to use is work we're proud to be part of.

Never a "no, you can't".

A barn near the North Coast, now home to really modern campsite facilities.

Rather than a new build, Richard at Boarsback Camping in Ballybogey wanted to keep the barn's character on the outside and put really modern facilities inside. That's exactly what we did.

"There was never a 'no, you can't do it.' It was always, 'Well, OK, let's see how we can do it.'"

"The professionalism of the job that they do is second to none."

Got a barn or outbuilding with potential? Commercial or domestic, we find a way.

What does "built like a house" actually mean for a garage?

On the timber frame garage we're building in Magilligan:
• A fully insulated floor
• Vapour barrier and airtightness complete
• A WC downstairs and an office upstairs
• Attic trusses for usable space in the roof

Save this if you're thinking about a garage, workshop or home office.

Two bedrooms, an ensuite and a bathroom. A two-storey extension near Limavady.

At Myroe, we got the main structure up and watertight, then broke through into the house. From the shell and roof in October 2024 to the finished render, this is the whole journey.

The clocks go back tonight.

Darker evenings in are a good time to start planning next year's project: an extension, a garden room, a conversion or a new home.

Sketch the ideas, save the photos you love, then give Ryan a call for a chat about what's possible.
