We’ve been busy milling away at what we do best installing automated doors to assist people living with disabilities. This one was completed in central London over the weekend 40 Floors up, we supplied and fitted the ultra reliable dorma ed100 operator with a dedicated toilet door system with all relevant safety and override devices. Here’s a little video explaning how it all works. Excuse the floor this was mopped after the video was taken.

Full curtain replacement.

We were contacted to assist with a large roller shutter that had been blown in with the wind. The we first attended we noticed that a portion of the bottom of the curtain had no wind locks fitted causing the door to be blown in but once it went there was no stopping it. We put the old curtain back into the guides for security.

We then returned again to assist with the installation of the new curtain. Measuring in a 8175mm wide by 8m high. We removed the curtain and fitted new with wind locks in the correct places adding additional at the bottom of the curtain. The door was fully tested and left in good working order

2 new aluminium replacement door leafs.

We were contacted in regards to 2 damaged manual doors, we attended site and carried out a survey for replacements as requested. On the survey we noted that the pivots and closers had also failed. So we carried out the works to install 2no closers, pivots with new none standard double width thresholds and pivots to suit.

We received an emergency call-out to a roller shutter in Derby, the job description was the door it out of its guides…….😳
When we arrived we found the door that was approximately 8meters wide by around 6m high had got caught and fully unwound into this position. After a hour the door was wound back onto the barrel assembly correct and running up and down again. We turned of the auto close function as this what’s caused all these issues combined with a few bent end locks and compacted grease with advice to always watch the door in motion under we can get back and carry out degreasing and carry out a full assessment of the curtain.

We recently attended a new build BBC building in Birmingham and carried out the installation of 7 ED250 heavy duty swing operators complete with emergency back up systems. Safety of being provided by the ever reliable safety sensors. The doors have been temporarily commissioned just for proof to the end client and final commission to be completed once the fit out team is complete.

New high speed roller shutter installed with JDL Automation.

Fully set up with the reliable GFA FI drive high speed motor, radar activated set to only react to the forklifts moving on site with full safety devices.

That’s another one ticked off the list. We were asked to assist with the install of the new swing door automation packages as a hospital. The packages used where as follows
radars with side barriers.

The job had its snags along the was but was delivered on time and signed off ready for site to hand over to the main client.

Another one complete working along side access control we carried out the installation of a new frame with automation and locking to a mother a baby centre in Leicestershire. Fully handed over and completed ready for the new people to move into.
