Air conditioning engineer.
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems alongside refrigeration and ventilation works across various commercial and industrial sites. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, leadership qualities, and the ability to interpret schematics effectively. The ideal applicant will have experience in equipment repair, maintenance, and construction related to HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
Duties
Install, service, and repair a wide range of air conditioning units and systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.
Conduct routine maintenance to ensure the efficient operation of HVAC equipment.
Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals or manufacturers technical support lines.
Lead teams during large-scale installation or repair projects, providing guidance and supervision.
Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately install or repair systems.
Perform system upgrades or modifications as required to improve efficiency or meet new standards.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation and company policies.
Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and system conditions for future reference.
Experience
5 years proven experience in air conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation installation, maintenance, and repair within a construction or industrial environment.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose faults accurately.
Experience reading schematics and technical diagrams related to HVAC systems.
Demonstrated leadership skills in supervising or coordinating maintenance teams or contractors.
Knowledge of equipment repair techniques specific to air conditioning units.
Familiarity with building construction processes relevant to HVAC system integration is desirable.
