Today in the searing heat of Yeovil we are building a retaining wall from “Gabion Baskets”
It’s great when it’s finished but what a tediously labour intensive ball-ache of a job it is…
2.4 meters high at one end diminishing to 0.8m high at the other 🥵🥵😃

Thank god we’re getting close to finishing down here in Yeovil. The jobs been a drain on all of us. Just not a nice place to be, materials are as expensive if not more so than London and no one is happy here. Horrible place… don’t come here. Anti-alcohol non English council are shutting pubs faster than shutters in a storm.
Soon be out of here and on to some more prosperous work closer to home. 👍

You can’t beat having 30m3 of concrete delivered after 14:00 when you’ve got to get a neat brushed and edged finish on it eh...?? Nigel Lloyd, Shaun Sheep Sutherland.
Could be a 22:00 gonna..!! 🤷🏻‍♂️🤦‍♂️😃💪

Just a few shots of the current 3 acres of concrete we are laying at Nottingham. The concrete is shocking but we’ll just shut up n put up..!! 🤷🏻‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤣👍

Some of the team (me included) have had some fun laying a few hundred m2 of concrete yard areas at Nottingham over the last few days. The client insists on supplying their own concrete which is a real “challenge” to say the least... one minute the damn stuff is so stiff it won’t come out the chute of the truck... the next it’s that wet it won’t hold up on the slope and it’s making it’s escape towards the Trent..!!
Never mind we’ll battle on with it. Reinforcements arrive on Monday in the form of a new 4 man gang... 😃🤣👍
Onwards and upwards... just another 3 acres of concrete to lay 🤦‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️💪

It’s been a very busy couple of days back on the tools working daaarn in Landan (Heathrow) with Shaun The Sheep Sutherland saw-cutting, breaking concrete, excavating and concreting foundation bases for a new Bonded Warehouse Extension. Jobs gone well with 50m3 of spoil removed and 40m3 of concrete poured. One quick visit to site early tomorrow morning to strike the HD Bolts and we’ll be heading back up North. Not bad for an old-timer even if I do say so myself 🤣👍💪💯
