⚠️PLEASE BE AWARE⚠️

On Tuesday i went to a property where a gentleman had had some people round to do some building work earlier on in the year. The worksmanship was very very poor to say the least and it also cost him at lot more than what it should have been.
It wasn't long before he started to get a lot of issues with the work, he called the people back to rectify the problems, they came back a couple of times and they started to ignore him.
So he got in touch with another builder to come back and get the job done properly, as the builder was half way through the work he called me and said I think there is a bigger problem. The previous builder had altered the chimney where the boiler flue terminated leaving this extremely unsafe. A great spot from the new builder.
Unfortunately as the boiler was so old the price to rectify the chimney and flue it was more cost effective to fit a new boiler.
People, please be aware of who you are having in your home, get recommendations, check peoples reviews and make sure they are actually registered companies. Luckily this gentleman's boiler is now safe but unfortunately it has nearly cost him 3 times as much.

Hi everybody, I think it's about time I introduced myself, for those that don't know me I'm Richard Smith the co owner of Smiths Heating & Plumbing along with my life partner and business partner Becky Lea. We have been running Smiths now for 4 years and I think it's about time we put some faces to the name.

So a little about my background, I've been plumbing since I was about 2 or there abouts. My dad was self employed and as soon as was able to walk i was out and about with my him (I thought i was helping but most probably hindering him really) and all through my childhood days whenever i had the chance i was with him. So it comes as no surprise that when I left school there was only one job for me.

I went to college and became qualified in no time and was a full time employee for my dad, 6 years later my dad decided he had had enough and was handing me the reigns and just like that the business was mine.

2 weeks later he was bored and came back to work for me (kind of) and it carried on like this for another 5 years.

This came to an end when my my dad got diagnosed with mesothelioma (blue asbestos) which is incurable. He had this for just over a year before he sadly died.

I carried on and things started to get busy, so I started to expand and it wasn't before long I made the decision to go Ltd. So this is when Smiths Heating & Pluming was born and here we are today.

We are a company who takes incredible pride in our work and always go above and beyond (please see our reviews).
