This week at Plastics 2000, members of our team took part in a quality workshop focused on recognising common moulding defects and strengthening awareness across the shop floor.

Examples of issues such as sink marks, gas marks, flash, and short shots were reviewed to help staff better identify what to look for during production and inspection processes.

At Plastics 2000, we’ve recently introduced an Improvement of the Month initiative to support continuous improvement and encourage lean thinking across the factory floor.

For April, a big well done to Jenny, whose focus on improving processes within the assembly room has helped create a more efficient and organised working environment, while also taking health and safety into account.

It’s a great example of how small, practical improvements can make a real difference day to day.
