One of the myths we hear quite often is that a heat pump will not work in an existing home.

That is not always the case. This property was not a new build, but it was well insulated, with insulation in both the roof space and cavity walls. The homeowners were previously using oil, and because of the quality of the insulation throughout the property, they were a strong candidate for an air source heat pump.

They also had underfloor heating, which can work very well alongside a heat pump system. After consultation, we recommended an Ariston heat pump and cylinder inside the home to support their heating and hot water needs.
