Its great to see a new company already getting involved in education activities. CDE Group joined MEGA for their first women in engineering workshop to Cookstown High School

We had a great team join us from all different departments including HR and some great female engineer role models. The students were really able to see clearly the roles that are available to them in the engineering sector. The CDE team also shared some of their career journeys, which showed that even when someone takes the same academic path, they can still end up in very different careers.

The students had to create a vibrating sorting tray to mimic some of the CDE products and did phenomenally well. Some of the models were so creative and using motors they girls were able to make the trays vibrate and all groups managed to make them work, even when everyone on of them were completely different.

The enthusiasm and curiosity from the students was amazing and we definitely have some amazing future engineers in the pipeline.

What another great women in engineering workshop! This time MEGA collaborated with Kiverco to come on board to St. Patrick's Academy Dungannon to help inspire the next generation of young women.

The young girls got a taster of building their own density separator conveyors before they were tested by the team from Kiverco. It was difficult to choose just one winner, given the great enthusiasm, creativity and innovation that the students showed, but the future of innovation is definitely looking bright.

A massive thank you to the team from Kiverco for coming along and sharing some great insights about their roles and all the different roles available within Kiverco shining light to not only all of the technical engineering roles, but also all other roles, showcasing that our sector in fact does have a role for everyone.

MEGA collaborated with Mallaghan for another Women in Engineering hands on workshop in St. Patrick's Academy Dungannon

The girls got a chance to build a model of a SkyBelt. The students were fantastic! Full of enthusiasm, curiosity, and great ideas. It was inspiring to see them so engaged and excited about engineering and the opportunities it can present for them in the future.

Thank you to the team of female engineers from Mallaghan who came along to help with the workshop and helping to encourage more young women to go into the field by sharing their knowledge and supporting the students throughout the workshop.

This week, Mallaghan was proud to collaborate with MEGA- Manufacturing & Engineering Growth & Advancement and St Patrick’s Academy to host a Women in Engineering workshop for Year 9 students 🦺✅

Three of our talented engineers attended the event, sharing their knowledge and inspiring the next generation of innovators. The students had the opportunity to design and build their very own SkyBelt models, gaining hands-on experience in engineering and teamwork.

It was fantastic to see such enthusiasm, creativity, and engagement from the young participants. Encouraging more young women to explore careers in engineering is vital for the future of our industry, and we are delighted to play a part in supporting that journey 🙌

MEGA are celebrating Women in Engineering during the month of June.

NHL Cylinders collaborated with MEGA on their very first workshop to help kick off a series of industry-led, project based workshops for Year 9 girls in St. Pius X College Magherafelt.

A massive thank you to the team of women that came along from NHL Cylinders, especially from a smaller company and not having done any workshops like this before, it was amazing to have so many women represented from one company to really inspire the Year 9’s!

The students had a great morning building all different types of hydraulic cranes and some of results were absolutely brilliant and innovative! The girls also showed off amazing design skills with their logos and fabulous designs of the cranes too.

They also got an insight to what engineering is, the different pathways that are available to get into the sector and heard some inspiring journey stories from the NHL Cylinders team.

The students were fantastic - full of enthusiasm, curiosity and great ideas. It was inspiring to see them so engaged and excited about engineering. The future of engineering is bright!

Well done to Anastazja from the MEGA team for leading on the workshop and bringing in some interactive aspects to her presentation to keep the students engaged.
