We’re proud to be supporting London Climate Action Week by hosting a Passivhaus Open Day on 27 June 2026 in collaboration with the Passivhaus Trust.
This is a fantastic opportunity to visit and explore our low-energy retrofit project in Liverpool and experience Passivhaus design first hand.
Whether you’re a homeowner, architect, student, contractor, or simply curious about sustainable building, our Open Day offers valuable insight into the comfort, quality and performance of a Passivhaus home.
Since our last update, we’ve successfully completed our first airtightness test and completed the installation the ventilation system. Exciting progress continues as we move into the next stages of this ambitious retrofit.
The project transforms a traditional 1930s semi-detached house in Liverpool into a cutting-edge Passivhaus home — proving that older properties can become even more comfortable, energy-efficient and future-proof than many new-build homes.
The retrofit showcases a range of low-carbon building solutions, including:
• High-performance insulation
• Triple-glazed timber windows
• Solar roof tiles
• Mechanical heat recovery ventilation (MVHR)
Designed to last another 100 years without major refurbishment, the project demonstrates how intelligent retrofitting can dramatically reduce energy use, lower bills, improve indoor comfort and create healthier living spaces.
We’re excited to welcome homeowners, architects, Passivhaus professionals, universities and anyone interested in sustainable construction to see practical retrofit strategies in action and discover how existing homes can play a vital role in a low-carbon future.
