PLEASE NOTE that unfortunately the L.A.S. Leighton Observatory will be closed on Wednesday 10th June. Work is being undertaken on the car park and for safety reasons the building will be closed and the car park will be locked. Apologies for any inconvenience and we will be open again on Wednesday 17th June.

The April monthly meeting of Liverpool Astronomical Society for the 2025-2026 session will be held on Friday, 17th April from 19:00 to 21:00 at the Q.M.H. meeting room, School Lane, Liverpool. The meeting will feature a talk by Mr Steve Warbis of Macclesfield Astronomical Society titled "Art in Astronomy"

Great turnout for yesterday evening's Liverpool Astronomical Society monthly meeting. The meeting featured an excellent talk by former Society President Steve Southern titled "What are U.A.P." in which he discussed the interesting topic of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena. Congratulations to Steve Tomkinson, the winner of the prize draw for an impressive framed display of Apollo mission patches made by Society Librarian Anne Smith who is seen here presenting the prize to Steve.

Leighton Observatory, Pex Hill, Cronton will be closed to the public over Christmas and New Year. The observatory will re-open on Wednesday 7th January 2026.
