A small project has been successfully completed. The patio had subsided due to a drainage failure that eroded its base. To address this, we excavated the old drainage system and connected it to the original clay drainage pipe.

Subsequently, we replaced the existing retaining wall with a sleeper retaining wall, positioned in front of the original blockwork.

New sleeper steps with handrails were constructed to facilitate easier access for the client.

Finally, we installed 20m2 of Raj Blend Indian sandstone slabs to complete the area.

Manged to finsh off this patio in between the showers one minute its sunny 🌞 the next its hammering it down with rain 🌧

these as by far my favorite slabs to lay. golden fossil Indian sandstone have some beautiful colours in the slabs and fossiled ferns.

We ripped up the old patio and path and replaced it with the new slabs and then widen the path and curved it with a chipping border imbetween the slabs leading to the new patio and the garden. We also layed new copings stone to the wall and pillars to match the patio. just waiting in the light and they will mounted to the pillars caps

The customer originally wanted a smaller patio, but then decided to do a complete wrap-around from the back to the front of the property, linking it all up.

It was a challenging job with two different door and damp heights to work with, so we had to lay from the bi-fold doors out at one level, then drop it down for the next patio door through to the front door, and then the fun job of trying to blend the patio into the existing brick-paved drive. Running on two different slopes with a few cross-corner slabs, we managed to blend it in nice and smoothly. We've just got to cut the back edge in and topsoil to finish off, and we are done.

Initially, the scope of this project involved ground leveling and pillar construction.the project expanded to include the reconstruction of the retaining wall using blue bricks and built double sided dwarf wall, incorporating concrete cavity filling for enhanced structural integrity. We also integrated a drainage system to prevent future recurrence of the previous issue. Subsequently, we installed 80m2 of gray Indian sandstone across two distinct levels, along with a small patio area at the front of the residence. To maintain aesthetic consistency, we utilized the same sandstone slabs as coping for the dwarf wall and pillars. Additionally, we constructed wide steps along the side to provide access to the garden area. Within a few weeks, we successfully transformed the property's rear, and we are looking forward to starting the subsequent phase of this project.

Finshed off this brickpave drive up the lake, bit of tidy and then we can tick this big job off the list.

We used a brindle brickpaver to create the border and theb used charcoal/blue tegula bricks to fill in the drive and finsh off this transformation

We also built sleeper steps all thr way up the garden and then laid a new patio and path with step into the patio door and a raised planter and filled the rest woth golden flint, look amazing now there are some potted plants around

We manged to squeeze this little job in over the evenings now the days a drawing out

We built a raised area to sit the whirlpool bath on and then feather edge the sides with a window to soak up the view from the hot tub and then a slab path down the side for a table and chairs.
