One of our current major projects in the Wye Valley is really starting to take shape. This is a total gut, repair and rebuild of a gorgeous old Welsh farmhouse. The difference that the two skylights makes is amazing and breaths life into this wonderful old building once more.

We've had a super productive day helping our clients and friends manhandle into place two brand new tie beams to replace the original ones that had lost a significant amount of structural strength to woodworm over the past century or more.

Chris designed all the temporary works aro easy to get wood that could handle the job and be customised to the exact needs of our clients. As well as specifying the replacement tie beams, and new connection details.

With Chris not being shy of getting his hands dirty and using his carpentry skills they're in place, beautifully detailed with lambs tongue stop chambers, ready for the next century or two of keeping roof up!

It's great to see our client's projects progressing and old buildings slowly coming back to life.
