Starting 15th June, we will be carrying out damp remediation and restoration works to a flat in Llandudno following water ingress caused by external defects.
The first stage will involve hacking off the affected internal plaster back to a sound substrate and carrying out the necessary external rendering repairs to stop any further water pe*******on into the property.
Once the source of the leak has been rectified, we will allow adequate drying time for the walls and structure before returning to complete the internal restoration works. This will include plasterboarding where required, skimming the walls to a smooth finish and fully redecorating the affected areas.
Too often damp issues are simply covered over without addressing the root cause. Our approach is to fix the problem correctly, allow the building to dry naturally and then reinstate the internal finishes to ensure a long-lasting repair.

The old sand and cement render system on this property had unfortunately started causing damp issues throughout parts of the building due to cracking and trapped moisture over the years.

We are now installing a brand new K Rend silicone render system to modernise and protect the property long term ✅

OLD RENDER FAILING? HERE’S WHY 👇

Another job underway in Llandudno on a 1890–1910 property — and this is a perfect example of why traditional sand & cement render just doesn’t last on older buildings.

Over time, cracks start to appear… even as small as 2mm.
Water gets in behind the render, freezes in winter, expands… then thaws.

That 2mm crack quickly becomes 4mm… then 10mm… and before you know it — the whole system starts blowing and failing.

Loft hatch installation in a property in Conwy dating back to the 1820’s 🔨

This one was a bit different… the property didn’t actually have a proper loft hatch, so we had to carefully create a brand new opening from scratch.

Working in older properties always comes with its challenges — and this was no exception.
There were live pipes and electrical cables running through the loft space, so everything had to be done slowly, safely, and properly to avoid any damage.

We installed a 550 x 1100 loft hatch with integrated ladder, making access safe, clean and easy for the customer.

Really pleased with how this one turned out — and more importantly, so was the customer 👍

We’re already booked back in for the summer to build a pergola in the garden… nice to see repeat work coming in 👌
