Proud to be leading another key healthcare upgrade for our region.

Lewis Construction are delighted to be appointed Principal Contractor for the upgrade, installation, and full refurbishment of the new MRI Unit at Glangwili Hospital, supporting Hywel Dda University Health Board in enhancing diagnostic capacity across West Wales.

Working in close collaboration with Siemens Healthineers, this project brings together specialist expertise to deliver a state‑of‑the‑art imaging environment for patients and clinical teams.

Our scope includes:

Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Upgrades, modernising critical infrastructure to support advanced MRI technology.

Temporary MRI Unit setup with Relocatable MRI unit and installation of temporary coveded walkways.

Internal Refurbishment Works creating a high quality clinical space designed for patient comfort, safety, and efficient workflow.

🏥 Project Progress Update | Withybush Hospital Aseptics Department.

Lewis Construction Building Contractors Wales Ltd are proud to continue delivering the new Aseptics Department at Withybush Hospital, strengthening vital healthcare infrastructure for communities across Pembrokeshire.

With our team leading as Principal Contractor, the project has now reached several key milestones:

New electrical infrastructure installed, delivered in partnership with Phase 3 Electrical

Foundations, groundworks, and drainage infrastructure completed expertly supported by Ian Davies Plant

Specialist environmental and cleanroom expertise underway in collaboration with Angstrom Technology

With these core elements now in place, the project moves into its next major phase:

Internal fit out of the new Aseptics building, including partitioning, mechanical and electrical integration, specialist finishes, and preparation for cleanroom installation.

This marks an exciting step as the structure begins to take shape internally, bringing us closer to delivering a modern, high performance facility that will enhance patient care for years to come.

Graduate Quantity Surveyor – Lewis Construction.

Lewis Construction is looking for an ambitious and detail‑driven Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity to begin your career with a respected Welsh contractor known for craftsmanship, community values, and delivering high quality projects across the region.

The Role
As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor at Lewis Construction, you’ll support the commercial management of projects from early cost planning through to final account. Working alongside experienced surveyors, project managers, and site teams, you’ll gain hands on experience across a diverse portfolio of construction schemes.

Key Responsibilities
• Assisting with cost planning, estimating, and budget preparation
• Preparing bills of quantities and tender documentation
• Supporting subcontractor procurement and contract administration
• Conducting site measurements and valuations
• Monitoring project costs, variations, and financial reporting
• Assisting with interim and final accounts
• Ensuring compliance with Lewis Construction procedures and industry standards

About You
We’re looking for someone who is eager to learn, proactive, and ready to grow within a supportive team environment.
Essential Requirements
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel essential)
• A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach
• Full UK driving licence (desirable)
