Lovely small tiling job completed a few weeks back for a customer who had gotten bored of the white floor and preferred black.

When we arrived a simple , straight forward job turned out to be a little more than expected. The builder before us has used plasterboard to raise the floor by 14mm in some areas and up to 25mm in other areas!

This is a big no-no. Plasterboard under floor tiles is asking for problems. Primarily because plasterboard cannot handle moisture ingress, and having had the heating pump weaping for a while was demonstrating this.

All was removed and replaced with tilebacker board and leveling compound before the new tiles were laid. Very happy customer as the review speaks for itself.

The reveal of the first of many completed in the last 2 months.

This customer in Egham was passed to us by another building firm and friend of ours who had agreed the cost and start date, but was unable to commit to either and that completion would put them in a pickle.

We agreed to help them out, by getting the job completed for them on a strict budget.

When we arrived, we found that the customer (and builder) hadn't planned the bathroom, didn't know what the goal was other than to replace because of a leak.

We spent the first day planning with the customer and ordering materials.

This bathroom cost us some money, but we'd made a commitment.

When we quote, our quotes have been said to 😵 sometimes come across high. We know our trade, when we quote we factor in the things that will more often than not need doing during the job, for example a replacement sub-floor in a leaking bathroom. This is always listed as 'this item is if necessary and may be removed once exposed'.

We don't sting our customers with unexpected costs, we predict them and remove them from the invoice if they aren't necessary.

We fitted this composite decking as ome of the first jobs we did as a formed company, along with a few other landscaping tricks we pulled for this customer.

Thanks for returning for a fairly large quote for future works, we'll look forward to posting once a date is scheduled.

This bank holiday is all about spending time with family and loved ones. We appreciate what we work hard for and its rare we get a chance to sit back and relax.
